26th edition of the Ivorian journalism award: Here is the new winner of the RAMEDE CI-CNS prize for the fight against child labor

This Saturday, April 12, 2025, the 26th Edition of the 2024 Best Journalists ceremony, a flagship event celebrating excellence in media and communication in Côte d'Ivoire, was marked by the distinction of Mr. César Ebrokié, as the 2024 winner of the RAMEDE CI-CNS prize for his remarkable commitment to the fight against child labor.

Mr. Ebrottié conducted a poignant interview entitled: “Threat to Ivorian cocoa/Child labor in cocoa farming. Jean Michael Kouassi (President of LIDOPA): “We're going to denounce them”. An interview with a cocoa-producing cooperative. This report highlights the practical efforts of a community committed to the protection of children's rights, while exposing the still worrying realities of some practices in the cocoa industry.

This journalistic work, praised for its relevance, convinced the jury to award him this prestigious distinction, proof of his professionalism and commitment to a cause of national and international interest.

At the ceremony held in Yamoussoukro, Mr. César Ebrokié was warmly congratulated on his work by Mr. Coulibaly Brahima, Director of Communication in the Office of the First Lady.

This award recognizes not only an exemplary career, but also the importance of commitment in the dynamics of social change. Mr. Ebrokié joins the very select circle of journalists who, through their pen and their voice, are actively involved in promoting children rights in the country.
